Namaste. Thank you for being here.
This year (2012) I hope to study the beautiful Bhagavatam. I enjoy sharing what I learn with others, and am the type of person who learns best by having to explain what I am learning. So I decided to do my study in the form of a blog.
My name is Vic DiCara, but I also have the name “Vraja Kishor das.” The local dialect in my favorite part of India tends to pronounce the first word in this name as “Braja.” So, seeing a chance for alliteration, I named the blog Bhagavatam by Braja.
My guru is Sripad Dhanurdhara Swami, who is a sishya of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is in turn a disciple in Bhaktivinode Thakur’s branch of the Vaishnava Hinduism established by the great Sri Krishna Caitanya centuries ago, and given great clarity through the masterful pens of the Six Goswami’s of Vrindavana, headed by Sri Rupa. To say I am “indebted” to all of them is a hilarious understatement.
I hope you will enjoy and deeply relish the delightful topics of Bhagavatam presented here in this blog. Thank you again.
